After a light Father’s Day lunch with my two beautiful daughters…..and some arcade game playing, I met my other workout partner, fitness/figure superstar Abby Marie (Hardbody June ’07 Ironman), for a leg workout at Lifetime Fitness. Abby has the kind of personality that gives you energy, so it’s always great fun working out with her. Here’s how our workout went:
Leg Press 8 sets 20-30 reps
Deep squats 4 sets 12-18 reps
Lying leg curls 4 sets 12-15 reps
Leg extensions 4 sets 12-15 reps
My thighs were screaming after we finished leg presses, so the rest of the workout was brutal! My legs were so fatigued when we were done that after about 3 steps down the stairs I thought about taking the elevator down, but that would have entailed going back up three steps ☺ Later in the afternoon my quads were on the verge of cramping. Needless to say I didn’t sleep well.
