Sugar Shocker

When someone tells you that all sugar is created equal, don’t believe it.

Consider this statement from Richard Johnson, professor of medicine at the University of Colorado:

“If you give animals fructose [as in high-fructose corn syrup], they develop diabetes, hypertension, obesity and fatty liver….If you take two animals and feed one fructose and the other the exact same number of calories but as dextrose or glucose, it’s only the fructose-fed animal that will develop obesity, insulin resistance, fatty liver and high triglycerides, signs of inflammation, vascular disease and high blood pressure.”
