New Cold Remedy

Most of us have heard about the heart-healthy benefits of garlic, but new research suggests it boosts immunity and can treat and prevent the common cold. According to the June ’11 Bottom Line Health, “In one study of nearly 150 people who took a garlic supplement or placebo for 12 weeks during cold season, those taking the garlic had significantly fewer colds (or symptoms that eased more quickly in cold sufferers) than those taking a placebo.”
