Lean Turkey Wraps


Being a competitive bodybuilder and a fitness professional for more than 25 years, I’m always searching for (and asked about) food options and tasty meal ideas that will help people attain a lean physique. Most people think that eating cleanly for a lean body means meals with no taste that will leave them feeling unsatisfied. Not the case. Here is a great meal option you can whip up in no time!


Lean-Turkey Lettuce Wraps

1 package 99% lean ground turkey

Lettuce or cabbage leaves for “cups”

Ground black pepper

Low-sodium soy sauce

Nonfat cooking spray

Spray a skillet with a light coat of nonfat cooking spray. Add the ground turkey and sauté on medium heat, breaking it up into smaller pieces as it cooks. Add a splash or two of low-sodium soy sauce, and sauté until the turkey is broken up and greyish in color, indicating that it is cooked all the way through. Grab a couple of lettuce cups and fill them with a cup of cooked turkey each. Sprinkle with black pepper and voilà—a quick, easy and very tasty lean meal. They’re also great cold, so you’ll have delicious leftovers to look forward to. The number of servings you get will depend on how much turkey you cook.
