Victor Victorious

It’s been four years since Victor Martinez won his last show, the 2007 Arnold Classic in Columbus, Ohio. The 38-year-old New Yorker won the Arnold for the second time over the weekend–the inaugural Arnold Classic Europe, in Madrid, Spain, that is.

Martinez, who finished fourth at both the Mr. Olympia and the Sheru Classic last month, bested Dexter Jackson to pocket the 40K first place prize money. Ronny Rockel followed Jackson in third, with Toney Freeman placing fourth, and “Flex” Lewis, coming off a second place showing in the 202 and Under Challenger at the Olympia, making a strong showing against the big boys with a fifth place finish. Hidetada Yamagishi rounded out the top six.
