According to the October ’12 Reader’s Digest, research out of the University of California, Los Angeles, indicates that too much sugar forms free radicals in the brain, affecting nerve cells’ ability to communicate. That can impair memory, idea processing and moods.
Sugar overload also contributes to premature aging, just as cigarettes and UV rays do, because the free radicals impair skin collagen and elastin repair.
Eat more sugar, and you age your skin and impair your brain—not to mention get fat. Sugar is looking more and more like a poison every day.
