Hidetada Yamagishi Wins Arnold Classic 212 For The First Time


COLUMBUS, Ohio – Hidetada Yamagishi of Japan, one of the most popular athletes in the IFBB Pro League, won the Arnold Classic 212 for the first time tonight as he outlasted 2015 champion Jose Raymond. Yamagishi received the champion’s trophy from Arnold Schwarzenegger and $22,000, a Tony Nowak Official Champions Jacket and congratulations from Dr. Rafael Santonja of the International Federation of Body Building and Fitness and Eric Hillman of Europa Sports Products.

The remainder of the Arnold Classic top six:

  • 2nd place: Jose Raymond of North Reading, Mass., received $10,000 and a medal from Ultimate and EAS.
  • 3rd place: David Henry of South Hadley, Mass., received $6,000 and a medal from Digital Muscle and MHP.
  • 4th place: Guy Cisternino of North Brunswick, N.J., received $4,000 and a medal from Optimum Nutrition and Jan Tana.
  • 5th place: Kyung Won Kang of Fort Lee, N.J., received $2,000 and a medal from Gasp & Better Bodies and Blackstone Labs.
  • 6th place: Charles Dixon of Greenville, S.C., received $1,000 and a medal from Muscle & Fitness and 4 Dimension Nutrition.

 

Oksana Grishina Wins Fitness International For Third Straight Year

Fitness International Winner Oksana Grishina

Oksana Grishina of North Hollywood, Calif., won the prestigious Fitness International for the third straight year. She received the champion’s trophy from Arnold Schwarzenegger and $25,000, a Tony Nowak Official Champions Jacket and congratulations from Eric Hillman of Europa Sports Products and Dr. Joe Carlos of EAS.

The remainder of the Fitness International top six:

  • 2nd place: Whitney Jones of Gilbert, Ariz., received $13,000 and a trophy from Muscle & Fitness and MHP.
  • 3rd place: Bethany Wagner of Somerset, N.J., received $8,000 and a trophy from Gasp & Better Bodies and The Columbus Dispatch.
  • 4th place: Myriam Capes of Canada received $5,000 and a trophy from Blackstone Labs and Jan Tana.
  • 5th place: Regiane Da Silva of Germany received $3,000 and a trophy from Muscle Egg and Ultimate Nutrition.
  • 6th place: Tanji Johnson of Renton, Wash., received $2,000 and a trophy from Nutrex and Optimum Nutrition.

 

Latorya Watts Wins Figure International For First Time

Latorya Watts, who finished fourth in 2015, won the prestigious Figure International for the first time when she edged defending champion Camala Rodriguez-McClure. Watts, who won the Figure Olympia in September and won three straight IFBB Pro League Events, received the champion’s trophy from Arnold Schwarzenegger and $16,000, a Tony Nowak Official Champions Jackets and congratulations from Eric Hillman of Europa Sports Products and Dr. Joe Carlos of EAS.

The remainder of the Figure International top six:

  • 2nd place:  Camala Rodriguez-McClure of Morrison, Colo., received $10,000 and a trophy from MHP and Animal.
  • 3rd place:  Gennifer Strobo of Orlando, Fla., received $8,000 and trophy from BPI and BSN.
  • 4th place: Candice Lewis-Carter of Aurora, Colo., received $5,000 and a trophy from 4 Dimension Nutrition and Aeon Clinical Laboratories.
  • 5th place: Cydney Gillon of Douglasville, Ga., received $3,000 and a trophy from GAT and Powerhouse Gym.
  • 6th place: Heather Dees of Highland, Utah, received $2,000 and a trophy from Rivalus and Nutrex.

Autumn Swansen of Decatur, Ill., outlasted a field of more than 50 competitors to win the Women’s Physique International. Swanson received the champion’s trophy from Arnold Schwarzenegger and $5,000, a Tony Nowak Official Champions Jackets and congratulations from Eric Hillman of Europa Sports Products and Dr. Joe Carlos of EAS.

The remainder of the Women’s Physique International top six:

  • 2nd place:  Danielle Reardon of Orlando, Fla., $2,000 and a trophy from MHP and Powerhouse Gym.
  • 3rd place: Mindi O’Brien of Canada received $1,500 and trophy from Animal and GAT.
  • 4th place: Tamee Marie of Omaha, Neb., received $1,000 and a trophy from BPI and Rivalus.
  • 5th place: Jacklyn Abrams of Queen Creek, Ariz., received $1,000 and a trophy from BSN and Aeon Clinical Laboratories.
