According to MusclePhone, Amanda Savell and Dave Jacobs were found dead around 3:30 am in his Texas residence. Early accounts, according to the report, are pointing to a murder/sucide but details are still being gathered.
I think they lived in Plano, Texas. Ironically, I’m flying to Plano tomorrow to emcee Prince Harrisions Lone Star Classic on Saturday. Obviously, horrible, horrible news. I knew both of them fairly well, was the emcee at several of Amanda’s show (including her victory at the 2006 Europa Pro Figure), and talked to Jacobs at last year’s Olympia banquet. Jacobs had been in the news of late regarding his steroid bust last year and he had allegedly sold drugs to several NFL players altough nothing had been officially substantiated at the time of his death.
