This was a show I thought I was going to be interviewed on (so did Shawn Ray), but I’ll watch it anyway. Yes, more media attention on the Craig Titus/Kelly Ryan case surrounding the death of their “personal assistant”, Melissa James, nearly three years ago; CBS’s 48 Hours will focus on the tragic event on Saturday, November 8, at 10 pm PST.
As you all know by now, Titus pleased guilty to second degree murder chargers, kidnapping and arson, while Ryan was convicted of arson and no contest to battery with a deadly weapon.
In the August 22 sentencing, Titus was given 21-55 years; his attorney, Marc Saggese, claims District Judge Jackie Glass said that Titus would be eligible for parole after serving 17 years. They originally went back to court on October 14 to argue for a reduced sentence on the lower end, but the case was then continued to November 18.
Stay tuned for updates.
