Larry Scott to be Honored at Legends Show

Larry Scott, the first man ever to capture the Sandow trophy way back in 1965, will be given the “Lifetime Achievement Award” at the Pro World Masters show this weekend at the Jackie Gleason Theatre in Miami Beach, Florida. And, appropriately, it will be another living legend, Lou Ferrigno, who will be flying in all the way from Southern California to personally hand the plaque to Larry at the Jarka Lorie Schneider-produced event.

Jarka will be handing out $220,000 worth of prize money to the men, and is giving $20K to the top finishers in the pro bikini contest.

As of today, the men’s line-up will feature 12 competitors, with Dexter Jackson and Toney Freeman playing the favorites role; Troy Alves and Ed Nunn are hoping to prove that shows aren’t won on paper. Samir Bannout, 1983 Mr. Olympia, is on the competitors list, as in former stars Andreas Cahling and Roland Czuirlok. Also flexing for prize money will be Bill Wilmore, Tricky Jackson, Pavol Jablonicky, Stan Frydrych and Lee Apperson.
