Frank Zane, Mr. America and Mr. Universe, has always watched his diet closely, keeping his protein intake substantial. He goes in for five meals a day, all high in protein and vitamins. No useless foods for Frank.

He has two favorites. Tuna is a superprotein food, having 150 grams of protein per pound’more than any other meat or fish. A can of it makes an excellent lunch. Another high-protein, low-carbohydrate food is cottage cheese.

To make it more palatable, Frank mixes it with apple sauce. That gives him a highly nutritious snack that tastes good too’no beating your forehead with your fist and holding your nose.
