/ Posted 08.29.2013

Charlotte, August 22, 2013-EUROPA SPORTS PRODUCTS: The Arnold Sports Festival is getting a new presenting sponsor, but the sponsorship deal with Europa Sports Products is only one aspect of what is shaping up to be a history-making weekend for the 26th annual Arnold Sports Festival, which is consistently recognized as the largest multi-sport event in the nation.

As first-time presenting sponsor for the Arnold weekend, Europa Sports Products is the largest U.S. distributor of nutritional supplements, sports drinks and accessories.

Europa Sports Products certainly knows the value of the Arnold weekend and has been an annual exhibitor for decades. The sponsorship agreement gives Europa new exposure and opportunities to introduce a breadth of products and nutritional knowledge to the 18,000 athletes and 175,000 fitness fans attending the four-day weekend event from more than 80 countries around the world.

Eric Hillman, CEO and Co-Founder of Europa Sports Products, states, “We’re thrilled to work with all the different players that make the Arnold Sports Festival the most iconic event in the fitness world. Throughout our 23 years in business, we have watched Arnold lead the crusade to grow this sport. I’ve personally been exhibiting at the Arnold Sports Festival since 1989 so it’s an honor to have this opportunity.”

On behalf of the Arnold Sports Festival, “Jim Lorimer and Arnold Schwarzenegger express great pleasure in having Europa Sports Products as the Above-the-Line Presenting Sponsor of the 2014 Arnold Sports Festival, which will be the first and largest of its kind in the world.”

Europa Sports Products literally fuels the fitness industry and is largely recognized as one of the most prominent supporters of athletes and health-based businesses in the nation. Europa Sports Products partners with VisionStar, Inc. (Ed & Betty Pariso, Scott Templeton) in hosting its own four-city athletic extravaganza known as the Europa Games. In fact, the 2014 Europa Games winners for the Men’s Open Bodybuilding event being held in Orlando and Phoenix will be invited to compete at the Arnold Classic in 2015.

From Europa’s longstanding reputation to its industry experience in hosting mega-sized sporting events, the opportunity to be headlining the Arnold in 2014 is nothing short of a “classic” partnership for the fitness world.

In the coming months, Europa Sports Products will work closely with the Arnold Sports Festival to make this year one to remember. Adding to the excitement, Arnold Schwarzenegger recently announced that he is launching a new line of nutritional supplements that focus on performance, power and strength, nutrient support and recovery. Europa Sports will be the exclusive distributor for the Arnold Series product line currently in development with MusclePharm.

The Arnold Sports Festival is scheduled to take place February 27 – March 2, 2014 in Columbus, Ohio. In addition to debuting a new title sponsor, the Arnold Sports Festival has announced that the first-annual Arnold Classic 212 (212lb lightweight Men’s division) will be held in 2014. It just goes to show that even after building more than a quarter century of success in this industry, there’s always a way to make it even stronger.
