It’s also no mystery that fat loss can be a tricky and complicated process. The first couple of weeks are usually the easiest, as water weight comes off quickly, but the incineration of stored bodyfat is one of the hardest tasks known to man or woman. You can use that as an excuse and live without being shredded, or you can do something about it. It’s a fact that you must lose some bodyweight in order to lose fat; however, bodyweight loss alone isn’t an accurate measure of how much fat you’ve eliminated. Typically, when you lose weight, your body burns muscle tissue over fat because muscle is the most accessible source of energy. You must conquer that obstacle by integrating very specific meals along with a sequence of muscle-sparing diet products. Of course, training and cardio fuel the process, but supplements can also play a part. Here’s a three-phase approach that will put you on the road to ripped.

Phase 1

A combination of ephedrine, caffeine and aspirin, or ECA, is your key to increasing metabolic rate, your calorie burn, while stimulating triglyceride stores in skeletal muscles to break down fat instead of muscle tissue. In that process brown-fat tissue is stimulated via heat to allow its transportation and oxidation. Ephedrine activates the brown-fat tissue deposits by creating additional surface binding sites for epinephrine, or adrenaline, which is normally released during fight-or-flight situations, and norepinephrine. A stimulant such as ephedrine gives you a controlled release of adrenaline, which makes it an exceptional thermogenic compound. It’s been found to be even more effective when combined with caffeine and aspirin.

It’s true that caffeine is a fairly good stand-alone thermogenic compound, but it hardly measures up to ephedrine. When the two are combined haphazardly’in random amounts’their thermogenic quantities become compounded; when they’re combined in specific ratios’200 milligrams of caffeine to 20 milligrams of ephedrine taken three times daily’the results are even more synergistic. In other words, the effects are greater than the sum of their individual effects. Add aspirin to the equation to inhibit the negative feedback loop that would downregulate b-agonist receptor production, and you see why the ECA stack is so powerful.

Nevertheless, after four weeks you’ll probably notice that the so-called heat wave has diminished considerably. Simply stated, your body temperature has simmered down. That’s common during the body’s regulatory process, as it will only tolerate the hotter body temperature for a while. It eventually reverts to the cooler, more energy-efficient, fat-saving temperature. Usually when that happens, people are advised to discontinue the stack for a while so the receptors responsible for heat production, the beta-2s, go back to full activity. That seems logical’unless you’re aware of a little mechanism that can be applied to your advantage. Let’s call it compensating for receptor downregulation. Instead of quitting the supplement stack when things start to simmer down, you switch to ECA’s chemical cousin’NYC.

Phase 2

NYC’1R, 2S norephedrine, yohimbine and caffeine’is a stimulant as well as an appetite suppressant. It’s a close cousin to the pharmaceutical amphetamine, and it’s believed to stimulate regions of the brain that release adrenergic hormones. Those particular hormones have profound effects on the oxidation and transportation of adipose tissue, a.k.a. fat. A very interesting aspect of 1R, 2S norephedrine is that it doesn’t readily cross the blood-brain barrier. That means you can get good anorectic, or appetite-suppressive, and thermogenic qualities without getting the jitters. A double-blind controlled study of humans concluded that the average weight loss documented in the subjects taking 1R, 2S norephedrine was 200 to 300 percent greater than the group receiving a placebo experienced. 1R, 2S norephedrine was also a better appetite suppressant than the placebo. Furthermore, the weight loss increased extensively when calorie consumption was dropped, which suggests that 1R, 2S norephedrine may work best when calorie intake is restricted.

Yohimbine is an alkaloid found in the African tree Pausinystalia yohimbe. It’s fair to say that it possesses great properties in inhibiting the production of alpha-adrenoreceptors, which are known to cause an anti-fat-burning effect. In other words, it counteracts the fat-burning extinguishers, the alpha-2 adrenergic receptors, which are readily found in cellulite and adipose tissue. When you throw caffeine into the equation, the fat-mobilizing effects become further enhanced.

You may also want to take a combination of forskolin and guggulsterone along with the ECA and NYC stacks to improve natural thyroid function. The thyroid gland usually adjusts itself in situations such as an increase in body temperature by inhibiting the release of thyroxine, or T4. Over time that can affect the conversion of T4 into T3, which is a more powerful fat burner.

Forskolin has been shown in more than 50 studies to increase thyroid hormone production as well as to stimulate thyroid hormone release. That can keep all fat-burning operations at a maximum level. Both compounds have been documented to be beneficial in improving thyroid function, and the subjects did not relapse after they stopped taking it.

In fact, forskolin might very well be the most druglike herb around. It bypasses the b-receptors, for fat burning, on many cells and directly increases cyclic adenosine monophosphate, or cAMP, by activating adenylate cyclase, an enzyme that may be responsible for releasing various insulin and thyroid hormones through cAMP. Big deal, right? Well, you don’t have to understand cAMP to appreciate the fact that forskolin forces the body to burn calories as its primary and preferred source of energy.

If you follow the diet recommended below and use the suggested supplements as directed, your bodyfat levels should dip into the low single digits quickly. The only toning you may need should be spot specific, such as abdomen.

Phase 3

Your third phase integrates a breakthrough combination of four key ingredients that will assist you in maximizing fat loss in stubborn areas, such as your love handles, saddlebags and loose glutes. Yohimbine is called an alpha-antagonist, and blocking, or antagonizing, the alpha-2 receptor is good for a diet. It can help eliminate fat in your stubborn areas. By thwarting key receptors, yohimbine initiates the breakdown of fat. Usnic Acid. This substance causes the body to use its stores of and increase its production of adenosine triphosphate, or ATP, through the biochemical process of oxidative phosphorylation. To maintain its normal supply of ATP, the body steps up its natural production, and that increases the metabolic rate, causing it to burn an incredible number of calories just to keep the process going. Simply stated, usnic acid can increase the body’s metabolic rate by accessing fat as the primary energy source to produce ATP.

Aminophylline. This is a beta-2 agonist, placing it in the same general category as clenbuterol and ephedrine, so it vasodilates the air passages commonly restricted in people who have respiratory disorders. You’re probably not aware of its properties that can actually turbocharge your fat-burning engine, but even alone in gel form aminophylline caused significant fat loss in the most stubborn areas in test subjects.

Forskolin. As discussed above, forskolin has the ability to increase cAMP, a process that’s mediated through the stimulation of an enzyme called adenylate cyclase. Recent studies indicated that forskolin has other actions beyond its ability to release cAMP. It also inhibits a number of membrane-transport proteins, increasing transmembrane signaling and the relaxation of the arteries and other smooth muscles. That property makes forskolin a very useful combination with ECA and NYC stacks to counteract some of the negatives, such as increased blood pressure. It also bypasses many inhibitory processes and directly stimulates fat loss via different mechanisms.

Diet Tips

Stick with these guidelines for six out of seven days each week.
‘Consume 1.5 to two grams of protein per pound of bodyweight daily. Try to get a lot of your protein from micellar casein-and-whey protein powders, such as Met-Rx or Muscle-Link’s Muscle Meals and Pro-Fusion protein.
‘Limit carbs to 100 grams or less per day.
‘Eat four to six small meals per day instead of two to three large ones.
‘Be sure each meal contains between 30 and 40 grams of protein, depending on your bodyweight.
‘Don’t eat carbs after 7 p.m.
‘Make sure that most of your dietary fat comes from good fats that you can find in flaxseed, olive and fish oils as well as peanut butter.

Weeks 1-4: Take one Pyroclen (ECA) and one Nitrocuts (forskolin and guggulsterones) 30 minutes before cardiovascular exercise and as an appetite suppressant before solid-food meals.

Weeks 5-8: Take one Hollywood-Cuts (NYC) and one Nitrocuts preferably 30 minutes before cardiovascular exercise and as an appetite suppressant before solid-food meals.

Training Tips

For fat-burning purposes do cardio work four to six times per week. That’s essential. It’s best to do your cardio training first thing in the morning for 45 to 60 minutes on an empty stomach.

For best fat-burning results from your cardio, alternate among several different pieces of equipment, such as stationary bike, stepper and elliptical trainer.

Weight training is crucial for fat burning because it builds and maintains muscle mass, which increases your body’s metabolic rate. The importance of weight training in the quest to burn fat cannot be overstated. You should train with weights three to five days per week.

Three-Day Schedule

Monday, Wednesday and Friday: Chest, back, delts, biceps, triceps, quads, hamstrings, calves and abs*
Choose one exercise for each bodypart and do two to three sets of 12 to 15 reps. Limit rest periods to 60 to 90 seconds for all bodyparts. Try and keep each workout to about 45 minutes.

Five-Day Schedule:

Two-On/One-Off; One-On/One-Off; Repeat
Workout 1: Chest, biceps, triceps, abs*
Choose two exercises for each bodypart and perform two to four sets of eight to 12 reps.
Workout 2: Back, traps, calves, abs*
Choose two exercises for each bodypart and perform two to four sets of eight to 12 reps.
Workout 3: Quads, hamstrings, calves, abs*
Choose two exercises for each bodypart and perform two to four sets of eight to 12 reps.
*Work your abs at the end of every session with two to three sets of 30 to 50 reps.
If you’re not able to do your cardio in the morning, do it after your weight-training workout or in the evening.
