Cutler Dominates Again, Wins SF Grand Prix

Jay Cutler made it three unanimous victories in a row for 2003 as he dominated the field on the way to a first place finish at the San Francisco Grand Prix, held Saturday, March 8 at Zellerbach Auditorium on the campus of the University of California, Berkeley.

Cutler, who weighed about 257 for his wins at the IRONMAN Pro and the Arnold Classic, said he was about 10 pounds heavier for the Grand Prix. As he did one week earlier, Cutler bested runner-up Chris Cormier to add another $10,000 to his bulging bank account.

Dexter Jackson, fourth at the ASC, finished third, with Melvin Anthony and Troy Alves rounding out the top five, respectively, Since the top four are already qualified for the Mr, Olympia, there could be a chance that Alves might receive a Mr. O invitation as well.

Kevin Levrone entered the event despite contracting the flu earlier in the week, but had to drop out of the finals when he was unable to complete round two due to his illness.

Five-time Mr. Olympia Ronnie Coleman and Gunter Schlierkamp, who defeated Coleman at the GNC Show of Strength last November, faced off on center stage… to find out more about it, read the News and Views in the June issue of IRONMAN, on-sale the first week of May.
