Iron Man delivers the facts on weight training, nutrition, muscle building, fat burning, sports supplementation, injury prevention and general health and fitness. Practical how-to information is the cornerstone of Iron Man, with training and nutrition research and inspiring stories and images included to help everyone achieve their health, fitness and body-transformation goals.
With new leadership starting January 1st, 2015 we are now expanding and need a new full time advertising sales representative who can work out of our Beverly Hills office. We are looking for an energetic, go-getter sales leader who can meet goals and create lasting connections with national and local fitness and health businesses.
Sales Representative is responsible for selling advertisements for both digital and print to existing and new customers. This position offers an established client base however a priority objective is to expand advertising to new businesses as well as increase the spending of current advertisers. Excellent customer service is our main priority. Telephone sales are a large part of the job. Cold calling is required. Travel is also required. Sales at fitness events is also required. The Sales representative will also need to prepare media packages as well as prepare sales presentations.
Sales Representative is responsible for servicing existing accounts, obtaining orders, and establishing new accounts. The Representative must plan and organize their daily and monthly work schedule to call on businesses in an efficient manner. They must also keep detailed spreadsheets to track leads and follow ups as well as track payments for ads.
Sales Representative must keep management informed by submitting activity and results reports, such as daily call reports, weekly work plans, and monthly and annual territory analyses. Sales Representative must monitor the competition by gathering current marketplace information on pricing, products, new products, delivery schedules, merchandising techniques, etc. Sales Representative must also stay in close communication with the creative and management departments to have complete product knowledge
Iron Man’s Sales Representative reports directly to the publisher.
Representative must have sales experience with a proven history of success and a passion for closing deals. Experience in the fitness industry is a plus. Representative must have excellent verbal and written communication skills, be highly motivated, engaging, and persistent as well as be able to work independently in an effective and efficient manner.
Representative must have self confidence, as well as excellent closing and negotiation skills. Must have computer competency in Word, Excel, as well as PowerPoint or Keynote. Must have a valid California drivers license.

Compensation: $30k a year in base salary plus a high monthly commission
