Message From The Author: Dave Dreas


This will be the first of an endless blog roll of quality fitness information so I figured I would start out with a quick note.

Gathering content, finding relevant information and presenting it in an effective manner is my #1 goal of each blog post. When going through this process it can be challenging sorting through all the BS and finding what fits.

With the overabundance of information on the internet many people tend to overcomplicate things, waste time, regress, and occasionally make situations worse. I’m not going to do that with this blog. I’m going to provide you with practical training and nutrition advice, tips, and motivation. Things that you can implement immediately that will help you get results quicker. I’m a firm believer that you have limited time on this earth so don’t waste it on useless shit.

It brings up an important point.

It’s the acronym KISS. KISS means Keep It Simple Stupid.

As I mentioned, as this blog rolls on you will be inundated with content this is fresh, simple and applicable. So here’s the first thing I want you to do.

When it comes to your training I’m flat out telling you right now, KEEP IT SIMPLE STUPID.

  • Don’t overcomplicate the process
  • Don’t overcomplicate the movements
  • Don’t overcomplicate nutrition

Results in the gym come from a combination of consistency, progressive overload, and time.

Find a program that fits your goals and most importantly fits your lifestyle. With every workout practice progressive overload by incrementally increase weight, sets, and reps. Do this for the duration of the program (start to finish).

If you do these three things you will get results.

Results in the kitchen come from a combination of consistency, discipline and time.

Find an eating style that you enjoy. Each day practice the discipline necessary to reach your nutritional goals. Do this for the duration of your training/life.

If you do these three things you will get results.

Do the little things day in and day out. Over the course of time you’ll begin to see the changes. That I can guarantee.
