You already know that staying fully hydrated is important for workout performance. Being even slightly dehydrated can hinder your workouts by up to 20 percent. Did you know that water can also help you lose fat? A recent study presented by the American Chemical Society found that drinking about 16 ounces of good old H2O before each meal helped subjects lose five more pounds than subjects who didn’t drink the water.
