My leg workout was LEG…as in singular. I joined Rita Ross and her 15 yr. old son, Daniel, for the leg workout. Daniel plays high school football and will be a sophmore this year. I had not seen him for a couple years and this kid has gone from little boy to MAN! He’s about 5’9″ and 218, with wide shoulders and huge legs. I sat and watched while he cranked sets of 8-10 reps on deep squats with 225-275 lbs. As he continues to train, grow and get stronger he could be one heck of a football player. Keep in mind that his genetics…..his mother, Rita, is freaky strong. When she was in top form I watched her knock out 30 reps of leg presses with 720 lbs of plates on the machine, at a bodyweight of about 120 lbs!
After they finished their squats I joined in. They had to do alot of weight changing for me on the leg press machine, but it was a fun workout and they didn’t seem to mind too much.
They started with 4 sets of squats 8-10 reps
Leg presses 6 sets 20 reps
Seated leg curls 4 sets 12-15 reps
Leg extensions 4 sets 12-15 reps
