Have you been feeling lethargic lately? Check your saturated-fat intake. A recent study out of Great Britain reports that rats given a diet of 55 percent total fat had a 50 percent drop in exercise stamina as well as losses in short-term memory compared with rats fed a lowfat diet. Muscle-firing efficiency was also compromised. Keep your fat intake around 20 to 30 percent of your total calories, and focus on good fats like those in fish, nuts and seeds.
