Fast-Talking Influence


7206-mind8We often associate fast talkers with hyperactivity—or even scams. Slick con artists are usually “fast talkers,” but there is another breed that shares the characteristic.

According to the December ’11 Prevention, a recent study showed that “most successful people speak at a quicker clip—3.5 words per second—and that fast talking leads to an air of authority.”

So the next time you’re trying to convince investors, have some caffeine before the meeting.
