(Disclaimer: This challenge is being issued out of respect and in the spirit of what powerlifting needs more of; elite level COMPETITION!)

This morning, Brandon “C4″ Cass contacted our promotional offer to issue forth a $5,000 challenge to top U.K. deadlifter and Olympic lifter, Delroy McQueen.

Brandon Cass is respectfully challenging McQueen to face him at MHP’s HERCULES 2012 (Clash of the Titans) Hardcore Powerlifting deadlift competition, which will take place at The Ronnie Coleman Classic Expo in Mesquite/Dallas, Texas on March 31st.

Mr. McQueen can pick the amount that he’d like to wager against Brandon Cass and that amount can be anywhere from $1,000 (minimum) up to $5,000 in US dollars. The winner will be determined by who scores the highest deadlift / body weight and the pound-for-pound winner takes home all the money. Both McQueen and Cass routinely compete in the 220 or 242 pound divisions and they can weigh-in that morning at any body weight they want to show up at.

To make the offer even more appealing, Hardcore Powerlifting is running a Record Breakerz challenge this Spring. The 225lb Division federation deadlift record is currently 825 pounds and the 250lb Division federation deadlift record is 865 pounds. For EVERY federation record that gets broken in Texas and that does not get re-broken in Seattle 3 weeks later, Hardcore Powerlifting will pay that record breaker $250 in cash. Brandon Cass is only planning on deadlifting, but Delroy is welcome to sign-up to squat, bench, deadlift and/or total and he can pick up anywhere from $250 to $1,000 in bonus record breaking money if he breaks 1 to 4 records and if those records stand through our Seattle promotion 3 weeks later. So, Delroy McQueen could potentially return to England up to $6,000 richer. How’s THAT for motivation!

And, since Mr. McQueen has to purchase a more expensive plane ticket to get to Texas, HardcorePowerlifting.com will gladly waive his $150 entry fee so it won’t cost him a penny to sign up (no federation membership card and no sign-up fees.)

Delroy has until March 1st to formally accept this challenge. Our business office can be reached by emailing Seanzilla@HardcorePowerlifting.com or on Facebook at http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=100002930727628 or by calling us at 1.503.221.2238 in Portland, Oregon USA. Mr. McQueen can also contact Brandon Cass directly at www.CassStrength.com

Brandon Cass and Delroy McQueen squared off twice in the deadlift over the last couple of years; at The Olympia Expo and at The Los Angeles FitExpo. Cass came out the winner on both occasions; once by formula and once by simply lifting more weight outright. But, recently, McQueen pulled an 830+ at an England competition so that inspired Cass to politely call him out to do battle yet again.

There’s up to $5,000 on the line in offered, personal wager money + the Hardcore Powerlifting Record Breaker bonuses. Let’s hope this match-up comes together so it can add even more high octane fuel to an already super charged pro line-up!

The judges for this Texas pro show will be Ken Anderson (head official), Jim Snodgrass (alternate head official and side judge) and Kenny Dinolfo (side judge.)

The equipment will consist of Texas Strength Systems platform, a Texas deadlift bar and Ivanko weight plates and collars.

Professional photographers, Doug Jantz and Josh Winsor will be on deck covering the action on film and on HD video (and from multiple video camera angles) plus The Ronnie Coleman Classic Expo routinely sells 3,000 tickets to their one day Texas tradeshow so this contest will be witnessed by a large audience and expertly covered by the media.

Hardcore Powerlifting promotes and produces real, legit, classic powerlifting competitions. The deadlifts will not be hitched and they’ll be fully locked out. Deadlifting super suits are NOT allowed. The weigh-ins are the same day as the actual contest.

Please note: The $1,000 to $5,000 one-on-one challenge waiver is between Brandon Cass and Delroy McQueen. Since both of these fierce competitors know each other and are internationally known in the world of powerlifting, their money will be secured by themselves and at their own words and verification. Hardcore Powerlifting is putting up $17,000 (thanks to MHPStrong.com, MetabolicDoc.com, Bodybuilding.com and Jeff Everson’s Planet Muscle Magazine) over the course of our two 2012 Spring shows (Ronnie Coleman Classic and Emerald Cup Expo.) So, this $5,000 personal challenge is separate and in addition to the $17,000 already on the table for whomever can claim it.

Any lifters interested in being a part of the Texas or Washington line-ups are welcome to contact our main office at Seanzilla@HardcorePowerlifting.com , www.HardcorePowerlifting.com , 1(503)221-2238
